10 Easy Healthy Snacks
One problem for me after had my baby was finding time to eat. So when I did find some sort of time to eat, it had to be something I could just grab and go. Though we all know that the easy snacks that you can just grab are usually the unhealthy processed ones.
So I decided to find some snacks that I like that can be easy to put together but also healthy for my body. Also I get tired of eating the same food all the time so I had to find a couple different snacks I like and change it up every once in awhile.
Here is my healthy snack list:
- apples with a scoop of almond butter
- celery with peanut butter
- whole wheat toast with egg whites on top
- dried fruit of any kind
- sliced peaches with a scoop of greek yogurt and granola
-avocado with a little pepper
- cottage cheese with blueberries
- chopped green, red, or yellow peppers with salsa
- turkey slices wrapped over avocado slices
- roasted peanuts and raw almonds
This is just one of my many snacks I will be having today! Greek yogurt with some granola and bananas, topped with honey! Yum!

Finding Time to Workout
One of the hardest thing for me after my little one was born was learning how to manage my time better so I could get things done.
So I hope my last post got you motivated to workout but now I want to talk about how to make time to workout. I am still learning how to manage taking care of a baby all day and being able to fit in the everyday tasks.. ( like even taking a shower).
We all struggle taking care of kids, working long hours, or even being in school that seems to take up most of our time during the day. I feel like I am always catching myself saying...
"if only there was more time in a day".
So how do you make time to get a workout in? I hear people say that they get up and go to a workout class at 5am so that they can be done for the day. I also hear people say after they put the kids to bed is when they fit in the workout. Well whenever it may be, at least you are getting it in.
Here is my quick mini workout I use on the days that I just cannot fit it all in:
-100 jumping jacks
-80 squats
-30 burpees
-50 crunches
- 3 minute break
- 70 jumping jacks
- 50 single leg back squats
- 30 high knees
- 1 minute break
- 20 crunches
-50 jumping jacks
*Stretch*
And I usually get this quick workout in while the baby is sleeping away..
Anyway you do it, just make the time because not only will you feel good but your body will be thanking you in the long run :)
5 Ways to Get Motivated to Workout
In August, I gave birth to my first little baby girl. It has been so fun being a new stay at home mom and being able to take care of my baby all day long. Some things I have noticed from having my baby is that I have little to no motivation to get to the gym. After long nights of taking care of my baby, I seem to not have the energy I once had and the couch or bed seems to be calling my name all day long but then again, I think it always has been.
The five ways that I have been using to get the motivation going are:
1.Turning on that jam- there are all types of music out there that really gets me going
2.Not taking a nap or relaxing until I have worked out- this has really helped me so I am motivated to workout so I can get back and take a nap if I need one
3.Putting on my workout clothes and shoes on the first thing in the morning- there is just something about putting the clothes on that gets me wanting to go workout or even buying new workout clothes and shoes can really help!
4.Having a workout partner- I used to live close to my mom and we went to the gym six days a week until I got married, it helps so much having a person right there next to you cheering you on.
5.Having a chart on my refrigerator to remind me each day so I can check it off- having something to look at you in the face everyday really helps me to stay on top of it.
After having my baby I have really had to work harder at losing the weight that I have gained. And let's be honest, no one has a perfect body.. well maybe Jessica Biel (my husbands fav) or Heidi Klum does but the rest of us unlucky people have to work hard to stay fit.
This is my new workout partner with my brand new jogging stroller I got before she was born. I may be biased but I think I got the cutest workout partner out there. ;)
By the way, did I mention I live in such a beautiful place!
I want to hear what you all do to get motivated! So please share!
